One of the hidden gems found down south is a European-inspired restaurant owned by Marcia Adams. I have been seeing this restaurant for quite a while now in Booky PH and since my mind is wandering off Europe most of the days, this caught my attention. The place is just LOVE- its Tuscan-inspired interiors, the fresh flowers all over, the fantastic Mediterranean food (grilled pork was marinated by the owner herself), and the gardens inside the vicinity. Finally, without planning the trip (This we regret deeply!), off we go to Tagaytay City.
There are three things to keep in mind when you plan to visit the restaurant- make a seat reservation (pick the one by the window with an overlooking view of greenery), there is a minimum cover charge of 700php each person, and use Waze to guide you in searching for the restaurant.
After dropping off my boyfriend’s dad and grandma in Balay Dako, we spontaneously decided to finally try and have an impromptu visit. We were able to grab a table at the main dining area as nice spots were already reserved; nonetheless, the visit was still worth it. We ordered the soup of the day (bacon potatoes soup), chicken kebab, and grilled aromatic pork. I personally recommend the latter since it was marinated by Marcia herself. One bite of the pork made me have a foodgasm. We immediately devoured on our food and a fusion of tasty, savory, and everything in between partied in our mouth- not to mention that the serving was generous.
Of course, we did not leave without a photo or shall I say a collection of photographs in every corner of this rustic-inspired restaurant.
